Button & CO. Bagels, Benne On Eagle and Olde London Road English Pub

 Olde London Road English Pub

Olde London Road English Pu is a new pub downtown that most closely resembles a traditional English Pub. There is a massive variety of imported beer and awesome seating arrangements. Furthermore, As you walk down the stairs to enter the pub, sports memorabilia instantly encapsulate you as well as big screen tv’s for viewing the latest soccer matches. Furthermore, after speaking with the Host, who is native to East London, I was reassured that a focus of the pub is offering all available soccer games no matter what time they start (some of which begin around 5 am). Also, As you can imagine this venue strongly supports Asheville’s Local soccer club and they aren’t afraid to tell you about it! Lastly, customer service is excellent, all of the workers greet you with a smile and professionalism. Located in the heart of downtown, this is definitely a place you want to give a go!

Benne On Eagle

Located on “the block” in downtown Asheville you will find this wonderful restaurant that specialized in uniquely prepared authentic southern food! Chef owner John fleer was named one of the “Rising stars of the 21stcentury” y the James Beard foundation and is a 5 time finalist for the James Beard foundation award for best chef in the southeast.

Although the service is impeccable and the quality of food is exquisite, I believe Benne on Eagle’s focus on historic Asheville, specifically the area they are headquartered is the real treat. Historically, “the block” was known for food, fun and entertainment for the community. Throughout the years this notion has changed due to economic factors and societal shifts. Benne On Eagle cherishes this memory and is making an effort to reproduce this atmosphere one step at a time. Moreover, the visual Centerpiece of the restaurant is a mural by local artist Joseph Pearson that depicts a historically sound representation of downtown Asheville. If you’re looking to get a sensational meal by a great staff of workers, you should check out this new restaurant!

Button & Co Bagels

My final feature in this week’s blog is Button & Co Bagels! Opening in late 2018, this is Asheville’s newest bagel shop! This classic bagel shop is very delightful due the chef Kate Buttons extensive knowledge of baking. Button & Co Bagels focuses on using sustainable and local ingredients for many of the items on the menu. Bagels also offers a line of house made bottled sodas and freshly squeezed juices. They have a variety of bagel flavors that can satisfy anyone’s needs or wants! Located on Lexington Asheville, this bagel shop is sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Haywood Country Club in West Asheville

West Asheville has historically been a very entrepreneurial part of town. The streets of West Asheville are filled with more than 40 locally owned businesses that captivate the masses year-round. Whether you would like to have a giant biscuit from Biscuit Headhttps://www.biscuitheads.com, drink a local beer from Westville Pubhttp://www.westvillepub.com, or eat Jamaican food with an interesting twist at Nine Milehttp://ninemileasheville.com/, West Asheville is the place for you! The newest addition to this sensational part of town is the Haywood Country Club. The Co-owners Cory and Trevor are experienced and well versed in the bar industry due to their previous bar ownership backgrounds.

The bar features astonishingly cool ascetics and designs on the inside and outside! The ceiling is a mixture of printed tin and wood slate. They complement each other wonderfully using a diamond design that leads onto the walls uninterrupted. Moreover, they used the design build concept on the inside in order to mold the bar area how they wanted. Furthermore, 3,000 pieces of wood were used in their hand made bar! Everything in the place is custom made and it took a whopping 2 years to get it just how they wanted it.

Additionally, Trevor and Cory decided to outsource locally for their artwork inside and out. A well known local artist Gus, Cutty developed the mural seen outside of the country club. Gus’s work can be seen all throughout Asheville so be on the lookout! Supporting local businesses is extremely important to the duo and they have even collaborated with a local ice cream shop, The Hop tooffer an ice cream flavor based off one of their specialty mixed drinks. Haywood Country Club has awesome drink deals daily as well as specialty drinks that you can’t find anywhere else.

Haywood Country club has a Steller set up inside and out! The bar features amazing drink deals as well as exceptional customer service. They have dance parties every other week and food trucks Friday and Saturday! Cory and Trevor have done an exceptional job building this business. Next time you are visiting Asheville, be sure to check out this magnificent new space!
